Posted by March 23, 2017 03:19

At their regular meeting on March 21, 2017, Kure Beach Town Council adopted amendments to the Town's Code of Ordinance under Section 5-61, regarding a Development Line for the Town. Two new definitions under Section 5-61(1) were adopted; one for "Development" and one for "Development Line." Changes were also made to the wording in Sections 5-61(2), (3), (4) and (5); and Section 5-61(6) was added to state "No development shall occur seaward of the Town's Development Line except as allowed under 15A NCAC 07H.0309." Below, is the adopted ordinance as well as a map showing the proposed Development Line and a presentation explaining this item.

Kure Beach Town Council invites anyone wishing to make comments on the adopted ordinance and the proposed Development Line to attend the regular Council meeting to be held at Town Hall on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, beginning at 6:30 pm. Public input on this will be the first item of business on the meeting agenda. Questions about this item should be directed to our Building Inspector, John Batson, at 458-6535.
