Disc Golf is alive and well in Kure Beach. Reviews from professionals have been quite positive, but you don't have to be a pro to start enjoying the course right now! The vegetation and terrain are unique and pose quite a challenge to pros and novices, alike. But, not so much that it spoils the game!

For anyone unfamiliar with what a DISC golf is, you play with Frisbee-type discs instead of golf balls, no golf clubs or tees are needed and "disc-catchers" are in place of holes. No need to spend a lot of money on course fees and equipment. Just bring your Frisbee and your skills, and you'll be good to go.

Kure Beach boasts a very active disc golf community. The local Pleasure Island Disc Golf Club holds two annual tournaments in Kure Beach, King of the Island in May and Throw What You Know Ace Run in November. The Club also meets on the first Saturday of every month for a course workday and the second Sunday of every month for a friendly tournament. For more information or to get involved with the club, please click here. You will be redirected to the Pleasure Island Disc Golf Club facebook page.
