It's our pleasure to announce that the parade float presented by the Town of Kure Beach, superbly constructed by members of the Town's Public Works crew, took FIRST PLACE for a non-commercial float in the Wilmington Holiday Parade on Sunday night, December 2nd. The Town won $100 and will receive a plaque. Thanks to the Street Festival Committee members for donating their time to ride in the float, and especially for all the hard work our Public Works personnel put into making it the best float in the parade! The float was constructed to look like a toy train, complete with a front pull-car and lights. If you haven't seen it yet, it will be on display for all to see on K Avenue near the Kure Beach Fishing Pier on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, December 7th - 9th, during the Annual Christmas Show which takes place at 7:00pm on those dates.
