Kure Beach Yoga is adding new teachers and classes! Tamara Cairns and Paula Huffman will join Meg Young and Carla Drummond (all experienced Registered Yoga Teachers) in offering a wide array of quality yoga classes to the Pleasure Island Community. Beginning in April, Tamara will lead Chair Yoga on Tuesdays at 9:15am (no class 2nd Tues of each month) and Paula Huffman will be teaching the Monday 10:30am Stretch and Restore Yoga class. Tamara is an Island Local with extensive experience teaching many styles of yoga to all levels of students and Paula holds Adjunct Faculty position with UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine’s Program on Integrative Medicine where she teaches Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Pain Management classes. Pay what you can evening classes will continue with Hatha with Meg on Mondays at 6:30pm and Reggae Flow on Wednesdays at 6:30pm with Carla. Carla will also continue to offer the very challenging Core Power Fusion Class Monday mornings at 9:15am and Hatha Yoga on Wednesday mornings at 9:15am.
Rates are $10 to drop-in or buy a 10 Class punch card for $85. Their mission at KB Yoga is to make yoga accessible to all both physically and financially, so the ‘pwyc’ option is always available for any class. Classes are held in the Kure Beach Community Center- a clean and modern space with free parking just one block from the ocean.
