This is official notice that the Kure Beach Town Council will hold a special meeting as follows:
Purpose - to hold a public hearing to receive comments on proposed amendments to Chapter 10 on Motor Vehicles and Traffic of the Code of Ordinances.
The proposed amendments:
Clarify language in the current code on ticketing and payment of fines
Prohibit parking of vehicles in the right of way (area from utility poles to the street)
Prohibit parking in the street unless in a clearly designated parking space
Prohibit parking on Town utility easements
Allow towing for any parking violation when police deem an illegally parked car dangerous to other motorists or pedestrians
Restrict parking of unattached, non-passenger vehicles such as trailers
Date/time – Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 5:45 pm, or soon thereafter
Location - temporary Town Hall facility at Fort Fisher Air Force Recreation Area
