About The Help Center:
Founded by local ministers and residents of Pleasure Island in 1985, the center was established to help meet growing needs of citizens in the community. The name “H.E.L.P Center” stands for “Help Establish Love for all People.”
Since its creation, the Federal Point Help Center has grown by leaps and bounds. The Center has helped residents in need of food, clothing, help with utility bills, rent and anything else it can afford. This Center is a way to help residents of Pleasure Island who may not qualify for other assistance programs stay put in the community. The current Covid-19 crisis has increased the need for the services of The Help Center but also impeded their normal means of collecting resources. We are looking to help fill that gap any way we can and appreciate your consideration. Any questions can be directed to the Kure Beach Recreation Department at parks@tokb.org.
Stay well!
