Yin-Yang Yoga @ OFP
This yoga practice will balance two contrasting but complementary styles: Yin and Yang Yoga. Yang Yoga is active and involves more movements, such as Vinyasa sequences to build strength, flexibility, and stamina. During the first half of class, we will focus on warming and energizing the body. Yin Yoga is slow and passive, and focuses on holding poses for an extended period to target the deeper connective tissues in the body. During the last half of class, we will focus on cultivating patience and inner stillness but surrendering and letting go rather than engaging muscles actively. Yin-Yang Yoga balances these two energies and is ideal for those seeking a well-rounded practice that nurtures both body and mind.
This class is meeting at the Ocean Front Park and is open to ALL levels. Bring your own mat & props (an extra towel is great to help cushion knees, etc.).
Preregistration is required through Tula. Inquiries can be made on the Kure Beach Yoga Facebook page or website.
