2024 PARKING SEASON REGISTRATION BEGINS FEBRUARY 12, 2024

Dear Citizens and Owners of Kure Beach,

On January 16, 2024 Town Council approved the 2024 Parking Season Rules. Your costs to the program will remain the same at $20 per season per vehicle for the first two vehicles.

Registration for all season passes will begin on February 12, 2024. Season passes may be obtained on the Town website, or at Town Hall.  

Current vehicle registration FOR EACH VEHICLE  is required AND one of the following:

  • Proof of ownership required (ex: NHC tax bill, water bill, mortgage statement, or real estate closing document etc. *Progress Energy bills are NOT proof of residency).
  • Tenant Letter for Parking Permit form is required for residents that are in a long term lease and want to purchase a seasonal parking permit.
  • Employees of a local business will need to provide a signed letter from your employer as proof of employment.

This simple chart should identify new rules and changes for our guests. 

  • SEASON BEGINS MARCH 15, ENDS SEPTEMBER 30
  • PARKING HOURS WILL BE FROM 8:00AM TO 6:00PM
  • RATES ARE STILL $5 PER HOUR AND $20 PER DAY
  • SUNDAY MORNING CHURCH PARKING AT 3RD AND AT 6TH FREE TILL 1:00PM
  • ENFORCEMENT FINES WILL BE $40 PER OFFENSE AND $20 DAY PARKING
  • RESIDENT/OWNER PASS $20 PER CAR FOR 2 CARS, $100 EACH ADDITIONAL
  • BUSINESS OWNER PASS $20 PER CAR FOR 2 CARS, $100 EACH ADDITIONAL
  • BUSINESS EMPLOYEE PASS $75
  • ONE WEEK (NOT SEASON) GUEST PASS $100 
  • SEASONAL NON-RESIDENT PASS $225 FOR ONE VEHICLE.
  • CAROLINA BEACH RESIDENT PASS $20 FOR ONE PER HOUSEHOLD
  • PLEASURE ISLAND RESIDENT PASS TO CAROLINA BEACH $40 PER VEHICLE
  • GOLF CART PARKING WILL USE THE SAME SPACES
  • HANDICAP PARKING IS FREE IN MARKED SPACES WITH PLACARD OR PLATE
  • PURPLE HEART LICENSE PLATES FREE ALL SPACES
  • SEVENTH STREET PARKING WILL REMAIN THREE HOURS FREE.
  • K AVE. 2 FREE PICK-UP SPACES AT HAPPY HIPPY FROM 8AM TO 12 NOON
  • K AVE. SOUTH SIDE ONLY FORT FISHER TO ATLANTIC 2 HR MAX AT $3 PER HOUR

Kure Beach residents may purchase a Carolina Beach Town parking pass (not private lots) at $40 per vehicle, you will need to sign up and pay Carolina Beach according to their rules. Please contact the Carolina Beach Town Hall for any questions.

We will continue to offer Carolina Beach residents a season pass at $20 for one vehicle per household, Carolina Beach residents may purchase the parking pass on the Town website or at Town Hall. The costs are consistent with the Town charges for each community and will allow better access to all the businesses in the Pleasure Island community. The cost for a Total Season Pass to non-island residents will remain $225 for the season.
