IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM THE EMERGENCY MANAGER

The American Red Cross has a shelter open for displaced Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Fort Fisher residents tonight at the Carolina Beach Recreation Center located at 1121 N. Lake Park Blvd.

Beginning tomorrow at 9 am, that shelter will convert to a reception center where we will have free cleanup kits available for pickup for your residents who need such items for cleaning up after yesterday’s tropical storm.

A cleanup kit includes bleach, trash bags, gloves, insect repellent, push broom, and a bucket.

The Town is currently working to get a debris pick-up schedule and a damage assessment plan together. Addition information on those will be sent out tomorrow.
