WEEKEND EVENTS IN KURE BEACH

It’s a busy weekend in Kure Beach - lots of options to get out and enjoy this beautiful fall weather.

FAREWELL SUMMER JAZZ FUNERAL

Friday, October 4th from 7-9pm

Festivities kick off at 7:00pm with Port City Players leading the second line, starting at L Avenue and heading towards the Ocean Front Park Pavilion, with a concert to follow. T'Geaux Boys food truck will be on site serving up traditional New Orleans cuisine. The public is encouraged to participate; wear your fancy hats, lacy parasols, and finest dress to join the parade. We hope you join us to celebrate as a community the changing of seasons in Kure Beach! Laissez les bons temps rouler!

HEGLAR OPEN TENNIS/PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT

Saturday, October 5th

The annual Heglar Open Tennis & Pickleball Tournament will be held at the courts at Joe Eakes Park on Saturday, October 5th. All proceeds from this tournament benefit the Kure Beach Fire Department. The courts will be closed to those not participating in the tournament between the hours of 7:00am and 4:00pm.

TOUR DE ISLAND - Pleasure Island Bike Ride

Saturday, October 5th

The Kure Beach Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee will be hosting the inaugural Tour de Island bike ride. They will be heading out from Kure Beach Town Hall at 8:30am for a 5-10 mile ride.

KURE BEACH YOGA

Saturday, October 5th

Classes on the beach and under the pavilion at Ocean Front Park on Saturday morning. Visit their website for more info or to register. 

BOOGIE IN THE PARK 

Sunday, October 6th from 5-7pm

Boogie in the Park with Carl Newton's Review (Party, Funk). Grab your favorite beach blanket or lawn chair and head to the Ocean Front Park for some music by the sea.
